Lars started to learn how to play the drums. At the age of 12, he did air drumming and used cardboard boxes as drums!
His grandmother bought him his first drumkit when he was 13.
Lars met James and found that he appreciated the finer things about metal.
Lars and James practised in Lars garage, where they created Metallica.
