                            Darkness and Light

A silvery shield
Across my eyes
I weep in dawns light

Only the moon still shines
All other lights have been extinguished
The darkness falls
The clouds obscure the one light

Is it death
The earth's eternal plight
Draw me back
Tell me truth

Tis not death
Only the breaking
Only a sob
Only light

Darkness and light
Wonder and fright
Go Home

About Muse K.-
He was a childhood crush who inspired  a large number of poems. Though we talked, we were never really friends as much as I wished.

The poems in the section are from a short time when Muse K. had a girlfriend who I was insanely jealous of.

              She Took it Away 10/26/04

I see a burning fire
And up comes a child
And grabs the log
I grab it too
I feel the skin burn off my hand
I scream and cry
And darkness falls

A ripping pain
It tares at me forever more
I with the pain of my scorched hands
And no light is there
So I yearn for the light

                       His little smile

A release
A freed breath
The one word
And a smile

Chruning gold
A flash of deep brown
And a new light

(Inspired by Muse A.)

                  The Way of the World

The earth has turned
The moon has eclipsed
The darkness is total
Memory slips

Dreams have broken
Walls have fallen
But people still live
And people stil breathe

Nothing has happened
Just they way of the world

     The Phenomenons of Heart Breaks

Wrapped in a blanket of black
Eyes cannot see
Thoughts are dark
A ripple on the black sea
A tear drop in an ocean
Bird song at midnight
And full moon at midday
Then a koo koo call
Then silence to the heart
As a wave breaks on the shore
