Middle East February 23rd

Another great, exciting night of METAL!! Also two Birthdays for this show, JoJo Dancer(Not Common Records) and El Gorde Cafe(Disengaged). The bands incredible, read on if you dare.

I got to the Middle East in Cambridge right on time for the first band, FHC-Full
House Crew, which is a tribute band to John Stamos. Yeah, you heard right. And
let me just add, I really wanted to see this band having heard so much about it,
and no disappointment at all. I'm down with being a White Cracker aren't you?
They haven't played since the year 2000, so this was a one time only experience.
Well Worth it!! Next up, Kevorkian's Angels. What a great set, they were so tight
and smooth, each song flowed with such passion. Those guys really have what it
takes to make the room respond. As do the next band up, Bane Of Existence.
Quoting Liz Snair, "This was the best Bane set I've ever seen." I totally agree.
I mean they are always good, but there was that special something happening last
night, I can't put my finger on it, but no matter, they were great. I'm all about
the Bane Of Existence. And they are finally putting out a full length cd, so stay
tuned for the info on that, I'll let you know as soon as I do.Now for the killer,
Watchmaker!! With newly added guitarist, Mark(Kevorkians Angels), very impressive
set and what a way to the end the night. These guys are right up there with the
best of the Metal bands. I predict big things for Watchmaker. The whole set was
methodical and insanely heavy. Just the way I like it!! By the way, inbetween
sets there was a familiar sound playing, I found out it was the new Phantom Limb
cd, Veins Of Unholy Capacity. So of course I begged for the copy to play on my
Metal show Tuesday at WMFO and the guys being so kind, granted me my wish. Al-
though no track listing is available yet, it is well worth playing til I get to
purchase the real copy when it comes out, April 1st on Not Common Records. Lots
of support last night from all kinds of people; Liz Snair, Brian and Jen(Prophet-
less Productions), Geoff, Mark, Mike of Gut, All the guys of Phantom Limb, Tom of
Continued Without A Finding, Raising Kubrick, Andy, Matt(Random Acts of Violence)
A couple of guys from Abhorred, Duncan(Destructathon) and a bunch of other peeps
too!! It's nice to see such support in the Metal scene. Keep it up and there
won't be an underground!! I think I would have to give this a definite two Metal
Horns up!! \m/\m/
