What do you do with a dream
seeking its freedom
through the cracks in your fingers
striking the ground like sand
perhaps being a dream
it was never meant to be held
as a vision
its light subject to the diminishing
of passing days
and yet in one brief day
that dream became real
I could feel it
I knew
you left the taste
the warmth of your lips
forever bound to mine
the softness of your voice
echoing in my ears
becoming one with you
in your loving arms
i asked if it could be again
and knew the distance that you kept
weary with longing
for the peace you brought
closing my eyes
surrendering to a gentleness
i had never known
i close my eyes again
to seek the brightness of my dreams
the time in your arms
breathing only the sighs you exhale
lonst in an embrace of love
a spirit of hope
a comfort born of knowing
a clearing in our live called peace.
