| This word is from Elder Colby Crews of New Bethel Church of God in Christ, Danbury, Ct. Date: Thursday, December 26, 2002 Elder Crews wrote: Greetings all in the name of Jesus. As I was sitting here this afternoon praying and singing melody unto God, the Holy Ghost began to speak something to my spirit. Many of you know that I am a believer in PRAYER. For the word of God tells us, "That men should always pray and never faint". Well that passage of scripture has become my daily life on the behalf of so many that I intercede for. Some have sickness of all various kinds, some have infirmities. Yet there are so many that have made their requests known openly, privately, and in any extent their petition has been made known that they need prayer. A little over a week ago my brother gave me this book called, What You Say Is What You Get. It was written by Don Gossett, an evangelist out of Canada. The book reminds us as believers the importance of the power of the tongue. It can be used as a weapon or to minister sweet and kind words. This book is very informative. because it reminded me of how prayer is an essential part of the believers walk with Christ. As I was sitting here this afternoon praying for different ones, the Holy Ghost brought back to my remembrance several key points that I had read in the book and I would like to share them with you all. My Never Again List 1. Never again will I confess "I can't". For "I can" do all things through Christ that strengthens me." Phillipians 4:3 2. Never again will I confess lack, for "My God shall supply all of my need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:19 3. Never again will I confess fear, for "God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." II Timothy 1:7 4. Never again will I confess doubt and lack of faith, for "God hath given to every man the measure of faith." Romans 12:3 5. Never again will I confess weakness, for "The Lord is the strength of my life." Psalms 27:1, and "The people that know their God shall be strong and do exploits." Daniel 11:32. 6. Never again will I confess supremacy of Satan over my life, for "Greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world." I John 4:4. 7. Never again will I confess defeat, for "God always causeth me to triumph in Christ Jesus." II Corinthians 2:14. 8. Never again will I confess sickness, for "With His stripes I am healed." Isaiah 53:5, and Jesus "Himself took my infirmities and bare my sickness." Matthew 8:17. 9. Never again will I confess bondage, for "Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. II Corinthians 3:17 I certainly pray that these words will increase your faith in Jesus name. God bless each of you. Elder Colby Crews New Bethel COGIC Danbury, CT. "Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty." "He whom the Son has set free is free indeed." |
