| I have recently discovered an interest in the Wicca religion. Which may or may not surprise a lot of people. However i find it completely fascinating and have set out to learn as much as I can. It takes a long time, everyone i've talked to and every book i have read all say the same thing! That it takes a lot of work over a large period of time. I have especially researched the history of magick and of Wicca, tracing Wicca back to a man named Alister Crowly and magick pre- dates christianity!!!! Its all very fascinating and I have decided to put some of it up on this page. Just what i have learned about magick since i actually started on this little project a few months ago, but it has been a very long time since i even looked at this page. Let me start with the beginnings - early magician's and witch's! It is the most fascinating as far as i am concerned any way! |
| Witche's are found in almost every religion, and some of the most amazing one's were those of the greek History! Two witch's i found most interesting were Circe and Medea. *Circe is told of in the story of Ulyses and she is not considered a bad witch however she turned Ulyses shipmen into wild animals and kept them on the island with many other poor prisoners who suffered the same fate! However Ulyses, backed up by the gods managed 2 force her to let his men go and return them back to normal... however it was a full year before he could continue on his journey. Circe lived on a greek island called Circee in a peninsula called Agaegae or something like that. *Medea is in the story of Jason and the Argonauts. She lives in a far away county with her father and mother. She is related to Circe and is the protector of the Golden Fleece, which is a magical sheep skin that protects its wearer and makes him immortal. Jason promised to love Medea forever but broke his promise and married another. Medea gave this other woman a peice of clothing that burnt off her skin and then she killed the two children that Jason had with this other lady. The Medea took a charity that was pulled by two dragons and took refuge in another part of Greece. |
| Something that i find rather interesting is the story or the Magi and Rosiecruceans. I'm doing this with out notes in front of me so do excuse if i mess up spelling! Its not my fault and i'll fix it up later... i promise! |
