I am the second-oldest member of Ms. Marys family, not counting Ms. Mary, of course.  I arrived on Mothers Day in 1994, a gift from Ms. Marys sons.  Notice that she still has the card they gave her!  I have been hanging onto that card for 10 Mothers Days so far, and I plan to hold on to it for many more of them.

My memory is not as good as it used to be, but if I remember correctly I was presented to Ms. Mary on the Mothers Day her sons took her to dinner in the Grotto Room at an Italian restaurant in Stillwater, Minnesota.  They also gave her a pretty gold necklace, but I make her keep that in her jewelry box when she isnt wearing it.

It has been interesting to watch the family grow.  Lately we have grown by leaps and bounds (and I dont say that just because New Bunny and Easter Bunny joined the group).  It was a relief to have Patriot Bear SIR come along to keep the rowdiness under control, and it was comforting to discover he and I have the same opinion regarding the attitudes and behaviors of the family members: If they dont have a glint of mischief in at least one eye, then it is off to the doctor with them to find out whats wrong with their innards.

Having been around for a while, I am starting to notice that my energy level is not as high as it once was and cant always keep up with my enthusiasm level.  My grandmother used to say, Youth is wasted on the young.  She may have been right.
