There is a wonderful old carousel on the Santa Monica Pier.
Ms. Mary rides a horse every time she visits the Pier.
She was there in April with her son and his September bride, and they wanted to buy Ms. Mary something special to remember the day . . .
so they looked in the gift shop . . .
and there I was.
