I used to feel bad about the duck suit. It was hot and I couldn't see verry well and everrybody teased me because I was a duck that couldn't quack. All I could do is grrowl. That's what bearrs arre supposed to do. Rright?
I like being a bearr. I like saying, "Grrrrrr." And I don't do it to scarre people. Gosh! Who would be afrraid of a little bearr like me? Most people just laugh when they hearr a duck grrowl.
I don't rrememberr not being drressed like this. I don't think I everr wasn't.
Ms. Marry said I don't have to wearr the duck thing overr my head. It's okay to be a bearr herre. When Just Ducky firrst saw me, he said, "Oh, that's just ducky, just ducky." I think that meant he was happy. It's harrd to tell. His duck bill stays prretty strraight. Bitsy carrrries a little duck that smiles, but that isn't a rreal duck; it's a stuffed duck. She wearrs duck slipperrs, too, and I don't think those prretend ducks arre smiling. I wouldn't smile if I werre a slipperr.
