For now, we're just going to loosen the gold tinsel so a bit of the wood shows through between each spiral. We started out like that but had so much garland left over, we wrapped it closer. We were gradually loosening it but then my timer rang and I had to go get my clothes out of the dryer. That's why the photo isn't on the web site yet -- Giddyup is still in the prep stage -- and he needs the elastic bands to hold the last of the glued-on buckles in place while the glue dries. They might have to stay on until Sunday afternoon. It's been a bit dampish today.
Giddyup suggested a bigger ball -- maybe a gold one. But then we were afraid the pole would be top heavy and tip over. He wanted a REALLY BIG gold ball. I just wish I had a little camera taking photos of people as they came down the steps and could see over the fence at the horse.
Giddyup is my gate guardian. Whenever I go in or out, he gets a pat or a kiss on the end of his nose. And I bring a menagerie friend out to visit him every once in a while.
