This is the second time in one day that stuffed bears have been featured in this group�s email. The word from the menagerie on my bookshelf is that it is about time the stuffed ones received recognition for the love and comfort they give unconditionally to anyone who takes the time to pay them a little attention.
Blitzen spent a lot of time in the rocking chair with me in the months when I needed extra comforting. And Humphrey and Baby Reindeer had their turns in my lap. Granted, stuffed animals don't purr or give off heat . . . but they DO talk, and they can make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Even now, I spend a little time each day petting or holding or rocking one of my little friends. It's hard to just walk on by when all those little eyes are looking at you . . .
Thank you for putting bigger smiles on the faces of everyone in the menagerie. I think everyone on the list -- everyone in the whole world -- needs to have at least one beary good stuffed friend to snuggle with.
