January 27, 2004 - From Ms. Mary to friends:
Most of my plants are back on the patio! The chair and shelves and storage stuff, etc. are out of the bedroom and back on the patio! The fence is painted inside and out! The shade over the patio is painted the same medium brown color as the fence! YIPPEE!
Someone came and put back up the netting and the bougainvillea that had been on the wall at the end of the patio. And they took down the netting and bougainvillea that was on the fence along the side of the patio. I left it down just in case they are coming back tomorrow for some reason (like, to put it back up?). So I didn't put back the plants that were right by that bougainvillea. Those five pots are sitting on the edge of the sidewalk just outside the fence -- the plants insisted that I get them as close to home as I could -- and I had no objection to taking them a few steps in the right direction. So there are no more plants out by the pool.
I have three big plants on the slab by the barbecue grill. They belong near my front door but I'm not sure how much room the painters need. A bunch of the doors turned medium brown today. Not mine, yet. They really look nice.
We're gonna have a plant party on Sunday to celebrate the return of the leafy greens. (I would say we're gonna have a pot party, but this is California, and I wouldn't want anyone to get the wrong impression.) We'll break out the Miracle Grow and get high.
