The lights rise to reveal a male and female behind a desk with "WAKI RACES 2001" written on the large moniter behind them.

"Good evening folks! Here to get you up to speed on the worlds most hardcore rally in existence is me, your host, Misato Kitsuragi! And with me to my left is Kaji Ryuoji!" the female said. The unkempt, ill shaven male spoke. "Thank you Misato! And truly this is an exciting time for everyone! This is the 1st Waki Races in 2 years, and the 1st televised as the 1999 race was too Xtreme for TV then!" Misato spoke again. "But thanks to WANDERLUST, TV will show any aul explotive crap nowadays! Thank you N2! Keep lowering that brow!". "Ha ha ha! I suppose you should get on and tell the audience about the rally!" Kaji quipped. "Will you get off my case you 2 timing..." Misato spat under her breath before turning back to the camera. "Thanks Kaji!" "...drunken slut..."

"The Waki Races Rally is slightly more complex then most, as its also an iternational semi-legal treasure hunt! Our contestants will have to drive from the starting point, get the required object then punch it back to the finish line! The drivers will be judged on time AND amount of treasure objects collected! But what of the rules Kaji?" Misato explained.

"Well rules are very few in this race, with most rules on simply eligability of entry!". Kaji brought up the details on the monitor.

Misatos turn. "Cotestants themselves may carry a generous amout of equipment but MOST IMPORTANTLY, contestents must be able to volenteer to write a stage or 2!".

"But Misato, don't forget about the map readers, anime superstars picked by SOME-ONE ELSE to acompany you in this race!"

Our 1st contestant is the crowned king of The Waki Races 99! Simon! He drove his Dodge viper to victory, though most attribute this to the fact he escaped the imfamous Corn-field-honey trap since he got hideously lost and was on the wrong road! The Viper was still wracked with dents, scratches and buckles and was crushed down for cans afterwards @ a cost of 25 cents! There is still uncertainty about what vehicle he'll bring to the WR2001 or to what co-driver he'll have.

2nd in The Waki Races 99 was the illustrious TNT. A hot tip to have won it too! But fared 3rd worst from the infamous Corn-field-honey trap and rode over the finish line in a Pontiac without doors, roof, bommet, 2 fenders and its front-left wheel. Hes tipped odds on favourite this year wit his jet-black 1969 Dodge Charger RT, freshly rebuilt since eaten by a dragon.

3rd went to Aidan, who was 2nd worst hit i the infamous Corn-field-honey trap. He bravely nailed the front and back half ofhis DMC van back together and went on to finish the race with front-wheel drive only! This year he'll be driving a 1967 Plymoth Baracuda and is getting good booking office support!

4th went to the lovely Aria who was worst hit in the infamous Corn-field-honey trap, where herself, Shinji and Ataru had to carry the remains of her Laborgini Contach in 4 suitcases. This year shes driving in the pure US might of a modified 97 Chevorlet Corvette, colored a metallic purple. Shes also 1 of the hot runners! A vicious rivalry has developd with herself & TNT since a race across Rome in 2 minis (Where TNT kicked her pert lil ass!!!).

Technically 5th is Rory. Sadly he got lost after the start and hasn't been seen since. Many still say you can hear him, Ryoga & Mousse argueing which way to go on the hills round Kyoto. But theres many that believe they'll turn up @ the starting line in their now rather battered 56 Shelby Cobra. More by accident then anything else!

The last driver of The Waki Races 99 is Kage. He doesn't have a placing cos, though he crossed the line first, he was disqualified for being a "hairy cheating assed bastard". The creator and istigator of the infamous Corn-field-honey trap. Now hes dumped his bike for a lovely 66 Cadilliac Hearse and is thought to have just returned to reap his vengence on all those in the race! 1 to watch then!

Michiru, the newest member of Team Ninja has joined freshly! This neko drives a nippy yellow Alpha Spider. Her driving skills are a bit of a mystery, but her treasure hunting skills are said to be top notch!
