Emergency padawan rules

rule no 1: if it can maim you horribly chances are it will

rule no 2: if its fun using the force then its the dark side

rule no 3: before you do anything: THINK!! Every thing has a consequence
whether it is big or small. Small actions may have big reactions.
Vice Versa.
Before each action ask yourself what are the likely consequences?

rule no 4: Assume nothing.
take nothing for granted.
When entering s crisis situation the one thing you neglected to consider
will invariably come into play.

rule no 5: Use the force but do not depend on it. In the end a jedis
wits are just as important as his/her abilility to manipulate the force.

rule no 6:

your lightsaber is not a weapon. At the very least it is a tool for keeping
you and those you are trying to protect alive. it is not to be brandished
about with wild abandon. tempered with restraint a light saber is a symbol
of a jedis commitment to society as a whole.

To realise that you know you could use it at any given situation to
intimidate or instill fear much less kill, but refuse to... that is the
mark of a jedi and what separates us from the vigilantes of this world

rule no 7: A jedi is not a soldier. s/he is a keeper of the peace.
do not enter into a mindset that views voilence as the ultimate solution
to problems. First and foremost we are advisors, mediators, councellors.
The use of voilence is as always a last resort!

rule no 8: it is rarely advantageous to rush into battle. when unsure of an opponents skill let them rush into you and make the first mistake. When you have seen the measure of your foes and their strenght/weakness then you can repel them with vigor

rule no 9: Think laterally!
Few choices is defined by a limited set of parameters. Always question the
rules a situation places you in. In matters of life/death there are no
rules. Just because a certain response is expected or is usual does not
mean you have to do/follow it. Often unorthodox solutions while being
advantageous in themselves puzzle your enemies. To put it bluntly;
think outside the box.

Life is complex, take nothing for granted, never resign yourself to operate
within the possibilities imposed upon you by externalities, and never
dismiss a potential solution as being silly. However this does not mean
you should not think every move through before acting. This does not mean
a jedi is a law unto him(her)self always respect the traditions of the
world you find yourself on.

rule no 10: Trust and OBEY your jedi master. Think of them as you would think
of the jedi counil. Their experience is what will keep you alive when
situations become dire.
