Handicapped Friendly (and Strollers too!)
At the polite suggestion of an intrepid wheelchair-bound friend and the encouragement of a Rhode Island landscape designer, We've made some important improvements.
First, in the spring, we created a dedicated walkway from the parking area to our lawn. We�re now featuring a gentler slope that�s more welcoming for all our visitors.
Second, we�ve widened the paths in the maze this year and worked over nearly a quarter of our paths with rakes and rollers to help wheeled people of all ages find more fun and pleasure in the maze. (It�s not widely known, but a roll in the corn maze is worth two in the hay!)
It's still a cornfield, but we�re excited about these improvements and about making the Merrow Maze experience available and even more enjoyable to more people this year, so roll on over and give it a try! We even have special rates for handicapped people.
