Objective:
Become the director! What do you want me to see as an audience member?
For this task we will be looking at Act 2, Scene 1. The characters include: Puch and a Fairy (lines 1-59), and Oberon and Titania (lines 60-185).

The speech you are about to read creates a vision (or dream) about what is going on in fairy land.
Answer the following questions...
a: If you were the director what images do you believe would be difficult to represent on stage?
b: How much help would an audience need in order to imagine what is being described?
c: How would you represent on stage the difficult parts in the speech? Would you act like the Mechanicals? Would you leave it up to the power of Shakespeare's language? Feel free to come up with your own responses.
