Well, it's been a long hiatus. The old Cossie was collecting dust in the garage while I drove the daily driver to & fro to work. Luckly, the situation recently changed and the Cosworth has now been getting the attention it deserves. Currently I working on fixing a driveline clunking issue which seems to be a broken rubber transmission mount. I just had the rear diff mount reinforced, which was only previously attached by two bolts!!
Anyway to the pics...the old 4" exhaust tip that was part of the old muffler was too short, so it was allowing exhaust soot to stain the bumper (some of which you can still see). I bought this 4" one from the UK and had it shipped here, It's chrome and features a bright red inset. Like many aftermarket "big bore" exhausts in Britian, this features the infamous 'rolled' tip. No more exhaust 'browning' Yipee! |

Added new front grooved brakes and new pads to get rid of the infamous 'shake-n-brake' from the well-used discs that were warped with use. I could've just cut the originals & reinstalled, but I got a good price on these new ones which my wife ferried with her from Britian. |

I installed the correct crossmember (the most forward one in the pics), the one that was orignally installed in my shell actually belonged to a Sapphire which caused a lot of vibration and clunking. The one in the rear is a Rapido-style one many Merkur owners use with their T5 conversion. I used that temporarily until I got the correct one for a 3dr Cosworth. |

This is the polyurethane bushings that helped resolve some awful shaking when I was braking due to worn rubber. It should be a necessity in every Cosworth/Merkur. It makes a night & day difference and helps stop the eventual warpage of discs. You can't see the purple inner bushings for the TCA. You can tell I need new rack boots!! |

Removed the old-school Momo pedals, in exchange for some new NOS pedals from Europe. Finally, no dangerous "pressing gas while trying to brake, etc" due to oversized pedal pads. |
