Weirdest thing. Derek gave me an assignment, totally monotonous as usual - I don't think he's forgiven me for the window yet, but I wish he'd just come out and say it, instead of trying to torture me. Anyway, the assignment was simply a catalogue of various artefacts the Luna Foundation had just received, ancient coins, mostly, from a Villanovan tomb. Extremely long job, trying to date them all, particularly since the only way the Villanovans listed dates was to state the rulers of that year.

I worked on it for about four hours, then gave up, planning to finish it in the morning. But, it was done. I wish I knew how, I thought it would take a few days to finish. Yet, there is was, and accurate too, as far as I can tell. So, who did it? Not Julia or Alex, I asked them. Besides, it's not their style. Derek? Nah. If he intends to teach someone a lesson, then he'll make sure they learn it for themselves.

But that only leaves Nick. Could he have done it? I wouldn't feel right asking him. If it was him, and he wanted me to know, he'd tell me. But, if it was him, he deserves the credit. It's excellent work. At least Derek will be pleased.
