The 3 of us are taking Nick to the movies either tonight or tomorrow night -
our treat. Philip suggested it - he says he owes Nick. I wonder what that's all about?
Nick does need to get off the island. He needs to relax. He's wound tighter than an
8 day clock.
Our precept took off for the weekend again. He's up to something... & he's
excited about it. Well, as much as Derek Rayne ever gets excited about anything.
Of course, it never shows, but I feel it like a little electrical shock when he goes by.
The hair on my arms sort of jump to attention.
I blackmailed Frederick into telling me what he packed --- his tux, a change
or 2 of hot weather clothes, & his swim trunks. Now there's a puzzlement... tux &
trunks. A Princess cruise to Ensenada? Never in a million years - unless the ship
was haunted or possessed. He didn't take the chopper, so he must have gone
commercial again. Should I check the passenger lists? No. I'd feel like a heel. But
maybe if I ever so casually mention it to Julia, she might.
I think he has a hot date. Lucky girl. He might have the "Sight", but he's blind
as a bat. If only he'd look right in front of his nose, he wouldn't have to go out of
town. Oh well - one can hope --- Sure! as Uncle Roscoe used to say, "Wish in one
hand & s**t in the other & see which gets filled up first."
