I received word this morning that the Legacy may have at last fallen
to the "darkside". It seems that the "creatures of the night" have aligned
themselves against us and may have managed to finally overwhelm our defenses.
I pray it is not so.
No matter. This House shall not fall. Although the odds are against
us, although stones and mortar may crumble, we, the flesh, blood, and soul of the Legacy, shall carry on under our own auspices. Somehow, it seems almost
appropriate that the news came 55 years and 1 day following D-Day, the
beginning of the greatest resurgence against evil in the history of mankind.
Perhaps, if those of us still dedicated to the ideals of the Legacy
and to its battle to protect the innocent persist in our struggle, we may be
able to sustain hope and faith - for the whole truth is that hope, faith, and
perseverence are all that we ultimately have.
