| I had quite an ordeal of a start in life. As soon as I was almost weaned I went to a pet shop in Georgia. There I stayed till a family picked me to take me home. Well after four months of living there they said I screamed too much and decided they didn't want me any more. So back I went to the pet shop. By then I was getting older and everyone that came to look just wanted the little babies. No one wanted me at all. I was very depressed and sat in my cage and watched all the other Macaws go home to families. Then Sheri and Jamie came along and thought I was kinda nice even if I was already almost a year old. |

| When Sheri and Jamie came to visit me in the pet shop I was so happy to have two people who seemed to like me very very much. They would both take turns holding me. |
| Here I am showing Jamie how far out I can spread my wings. They are about as long as his whole arm. |
| And here I am with my new bird family. It turns out I grew up in Augusta, Georgia with Merlin and we are only three weeks apart in age. There are 3 other birds here. BJ, Mozart and Perry the teeny tiny parakeet. Mozart calls me "Big Bird" |
| Hey Merlin - Do you remember me from when we were baby birds? Yeah I do Ollie but you sure got really big !! I stayed just about the same size. Think we can be pals again Merlin? Sure Ollie, I'll be your pal if you preen me every day and pamper me a lot. I demand a lot of attention around here. |

| I'll start pampering you right now Merlin by feeding you some nice warm mushy stuff. Thanks Ollie. That is great! But remeber I will only feed Sheri and not you. |

| There was not enough room in the house to fit my huge cage so Jamie and Mom decided to turn what used to be Jamie's playroom into a birdroom. Here I am with my cage set up right next to my pal Merlin. |
| My cage is so tall you can't see my Ott light hanging. Mom decorated the chains that hung our Ott lights with fake ivy. And then she added real bird safe plants |
| We were not allowed to play in the bird room because some mischevious birds though that they could swing from the Ott lights. Mainly it was Merlin and Mozart who would do stuff like that. |
| As for me I want to behave very nicely and not get in any trouble cause I sure like this home better than my last one. |
