TA-4 Skyhawk
I bought this TA-4 Skyhawk several years ago from an Aircraft Broker. I've been researching the history of the aircraft. It's has been difficult to say the least with no Buno or Construction Numbers. I have begun work trying to undo several modifications that were done by previous owners. The cockpit started out a TA-4F and then converted to a TA-4J. Sometime during it's life the aircraft was damaged and/or scrapped. It was in the process of being converted to a simulator when I got it. I have a few ideas what Buno aircraft this is. More to come on that later. More updated photos this week.
10/6/04 Started to repair damaged area from some hacker before me. Test fit glareshield.
10/4/04  Started layout and cutting of Forward cockpit instrument panel.
6/28/04 Started layout and cutting of Aft cockpit instrument panel.
6/3/04 I made new interior side panels. They were made from a quilted fire resistant material. I will either Velcro them to the sides of the aircraft or I will glue them with 1300L. Click Bullet to view.
5/12/03   Interior was sanded, cleaned, and then painted with Zinc Chromate primer. Click Bullet to view.
4/28/03 Outer fuselage was cleaned, sanded, alodined, and then primered. Click Bullet to view.
