Best Live Shows Iv'e seen Pt 2

(5)Rush - 1985 Moving Pictures Tour I have seen Rush probably 8 or 9 Times and they are always the tightest band you will ever see live. They dont put on much of a show but they jam like no other band you will ever see. This night they did the full "2112" suite live to perfection, they also did an extended version of freewill that I have never seen prior or after. and it was killer. They closed the show with La Villa Strangata and Tom Sawyer. Of course Neil Peart performed a phenominal drum solo.

(4)Tool/Ozzy/Sabbath - 1990 lollapalooza This was the first time that I ever saw Tool live. Tool is another incredably tight band that rocks it live. They opened up with 3rd Eye and played almost all of the Aenima album, I had front row for this one and it was the whip. After Tool played Ozzy came out and did a set, he had some young guitarist that was a student of Randy Rhodes. It looked just like him. Then Ozzy came back and did a full set with Sabbath, they did Into the Void and Dirty Women which was cool.

(3) Marilyn Manson -1999 Mechanical Animals Tour This guy puts on one hell of a show. He is a bit extreme at times but no one can deny that is is one hell of a talented entertainer. He performed one song on these strange stilts. And another while he was crucified to a burning cross. Each song was accompanied by some sort of theatrical effect. This was a very original show. He ended up closing the show with several songs off of the Antichrist Superstar album, I went out and bought it the next day.

(2) Paul McCartney - 1998 Tour Geeze, at long last, finally I get to see one of the Beatles live. This was a treat. My seats weren't the best but the music was awesome. He played 2 long sets that included quite a few Beatles songs. He did great renditions of Let me Roll It, Maybe I'm Amazed and Jet. He ended up closing the night with Hey Jude and Magical Mystery Tour. Cool to see him do a Lennon song. For an old guy he still has it. He did an old one called Another Day which has always been one of my favorite songs. That was a nice surprise.

(1) Pink Floyd - 1998 Division Bell Tour Seeing this band live is an experience in itself. It's an assult on 4 of the 5 senses (all 5 senses if you have a smelly drunk next to you). I have seen this band live six times and all six concerts are tied for first place. If you ever have the opportunity to see a this band live. Dont hesitate. Even if you dont like the bands music. The concert is an unforgetable experience. They have the coolest laser show you will ever see. And the night is filled with endless pleasent surprises.
