There sits a girl of smarts and beauty. Hair of varnished gold, That's short and pretty. Hazel eyes of bold, Full of delight and mystery. Tall and slender she me be, Only tries where all can see. Full of brains and intellect, A mouse she could disect. A full time student she may be, But at work she smiles with glee. With all her task and duties, She sees plenty of tens and twenties. She works at a buffet, But not on a weekday. She fills the salad tray, And even bakes a suffle. Ask real kindly she may obey, If not, put you down she may. As customers walk in, She'll greet them with a grin. She'll say "How many will thre be today", This is the restaurant way. At school it's all the same. She wakes up early every day, For that damn morning class. She awaits the rising sun, To show her the way, To those awful chairs of brass. Homework she does shun, Find it all to lame. Straight A's she does get; She must be a teacher's pet. To her, her friends do gather. They all need help for school. All at once they do clatter; Not one wants to be the fool. Barbara Hallock is her name. My girlfriend she may be. For her, I have no shame. With her everyday is like a party. With kindness she does treat me. She fills me with pride and dignity. Barbara Hallock is her name. My girlfriend she is indeed. |
