Saladin in His Time

I read this book a long time ago. It was, at the time, the only book in the public library about Saladin. Overall, I found it to be a very readable book on the life of Saladin. Newby gives a fair account of his life. However, I remember there were a few things that I found questionable, so it must be read with caution and a critical mind. But if you're interested in the life of Saladin this book is a good start.
