Time Turner

Okay, so, in a way, it was probably her fault. Buffy figures this is because everything seems to be her fault, if only because it stems from being the vampire slayer. Friends get kidnapped by crazy vampire? Check, Buffy's fault. No boyfriend touching because, hey, sex equals the big bad? Yes, that's Buffy's fault, too. About the only thing she's not going to take the blame for is Cordelia's pointy spike through the middle because that's all about shoddy construction techniques. Never mind that she wouldn't have been there if she hadn't met Buffy...

Okay, bad mental journey. Besides, Cordy will be fine and back to lording it over the commoners in a few days. So, no harm, no foul. If anything, being injured has only convinced Cordelia of her divine right to rule over Sunnydale High. Buffy tried to visit, but couldn't get past the Cordettes nattering on to Cordy about something in the water that had made her hallucinate dating Xander Harris was a good idea. Whatever. Buffy had enough things to feel guilty about without dealing with Cordelia.

So, Buffy figures the real reason she's gotten all concerned with Cordelia's problems is to keep her from facing Willow and Xander. Cause, whoa, when did their crazy little make-out sessions start? And why didn't they tell her about it? Okay, so she's not the ideal of open and honest communication, what with hiding Angel for a good while, but, hey, best friends, right?

God, when did she get so oblivious? Granted, there were those crazy Angel escapades, and Faith and possibly having a new boyfriend (and wasn't Giles right when he said Slayers didn't have social lives - that had been a disaster) and slaying and training... Wow, Buffy was busy. But busy should not interfere in friend time, which has been sorely neglected. Okay, new goal.

Friends. Just the three of them - no Cordy, no Oz and definitely no Angel, because that's a train wreck just waiting to happen. After all, high school is almost over and no one knows what's going to happen next. So, Buffy, Willow and Xander, like the Three Musketeers (slaying vampires kind, not protecting the king kind), together forever, or at least until graduation. Not a bad plan, Buffy realizes, not a bad plan at all.
