If you had asked her, before the fire, if she collected anything, she would have laughed and said no. Now, though, she realizes how much she had, her collections, now that they're gone. She kept a box of photos, of family and friends, on a bookshelf in her bedroom. She didn't look at them very often, just collected them in the box, in case she ever wanted to look at them. Then there was her inability to leave Bath & Body Works without some new bubble bath or bath get - her secret vice. She used to keep them, hidden away, in a cabinet under the sink. Or her weakness for aprons with silly phrases printed on them - not that she ever had time to cook. She still doesn't.

It's odd how she's so careful now not to collect anything - to her house from being a home. Because it's not. It's not even really her house. Her house doesn't exist anymore. This is just a place - not her future. She doesn't want to lose anymore of the past - not when she's already lost so much.
