. . .Fish In A Fucking Barrel. . .

The library in the old English manor house was almost completely dark, the only source of light coming from the banked fire. No one had entered the library since an aging footman had lit the fire at dusk. Anyone who did enter would have no fear of someone else in the silent, darkened room.

Well, almost silent.

"It's going to be just like shooting fish in a fucking barrel."

"You already said that. Twice."

"Kiddo, you can be a pain in the ass sometimes," O-Ren Ishii said, shifting slightly where she sat on the dark upper balcony.

Beatrice Kiddo looked over, then shrugged. "I was just pointing out that you'd said that already. It's a particularly apt analogy, but I'm sick of hearing it."

"Bite me."

"No, thanks. They should be back soon, and then the job will be done." Beatrice said. She was well trained in the art of waiting silently and motionless, but two hours of sitting with O-Ren was beginning to drive her insane.

They sat for a minute in silence, before O-Ren started up again. "I don't know why Bill thought this job needed two of us. I think we're fucking talented enough to handle this on our own."

"Quantity over quality on this job." Beatrice checked the silencer on her gun. "We need to get it done fast and silent, before anyone else gets involved. There's too many of them for one of us to do like that."

"I don't know, Kiddo. I think we're qualified to kill, oh, at least twenty men on our own without getting ourselves in trouble. One day, we'll have to see who can rack up the most." O-Ren grinned as she heard car doors slam. "Time to go."

"Get those lords a-leaping?" Beatrice said as doors started opening.

"Like fish in a fucking barrel."
