Game, Set, Match

Shadows creep over me
And rain pours down my face.
Even though I tried as well as I know
I just couldn't win the chase.

The bad guys won for once
And all plots are out of date.
The good ones took a risk
And that's how I'm in this miserable state.

Confusion buzzes around my head
As the shadows swallow me in.
The eye of the hurricane sweeps me up
Just so the torture can start again.

They didn't explain all the rules to me
They all had left out the catch.
That once I'm in, there's no way out
Game, set, match.
