Hey's it's almost as easy as falling off a log ...
STEP #1 - Fall off a log.
STEP #2 - Pick a Loony name, and get a ridiculous looking hat.
STEP #3 - Go to your town hall to update your voter registration (or register to vote if you haven't already); wearing your Loony hat is optional but we'd like it if you did.
STEP #4 - When filling out your form, write your political designation as "Monster Raving Loony"; if you want to use your Loony name (it's optional, but again, we'd really like it if you did) write it after your name with "a/k/a" between your legal name and your Loony name, so it looks like this: "Jane Smith a/k/a Dolly Llama" (and we do trust that we won't have seven thousand people choosing "Dolly Llama" as their Loony name, whether or not your legal name is "Jane Smith").
STEP #5 - Email me at [email protected] to inform me that you've gone Loony; let me know your legal and Loony names at the very least.
OPTIONAL STEP #6 - Check out the websites for the British and American parties for more stuff and plenty of laughs, and consider adding to your Loony status by joining them, too.
OPTIONAL STEP #7 - Encourage your friends to "go Loony"!
STEP #8 (number depending on whether you did #6 and/or #7) - Watch for notices of Mass Loony events as we grow in numbers, maybe even run candidates (imagine the shock to the "sensible" politicians if a Loony actually got elected!!!).
