Episode One: An Elephant to Remember
Who are you? A stern voice asked. Tsukino Usagi turned to find a large stone temple. The voice seemed to come from inside.
Im Usagi. She answered carefully.
No your not. The voice said. Your someone else. A member of the royalty, arent you? Yes, the Princess.
Princess Serenity. Usagi said. She took a step forward. Whats this about? Why am I here.
You will never be strong if you do not find the spirit within. The voice told her. Your but a weakling without it.
Spirit within? Usagi asked. What are you talking about?
The spirit within. The voice whispered. Usagi watched as the temple began to melt away. Confused, she closed her eyes and breathed in deeply.

Usagi-chan! Hino Reis voice screamed. We are here to study not fall asleep.
Right! Usagi sat up, and looked around with sleep in her eye. The other girls rolled their eyes and went back to their work. Usagi slumped forward and yawned. She looked over at her tall friend, Kino Makoto. Makoto-chan?
Yes? Makoto asked, looking up from her history book.
You dont happen to have any study snacks do you? Usagi asked. Makoto smiled and reached under the table.
Yeah! Aino Minako cheered next to her. Finally, some food.
Oh, brownies. Mizuno Ami said softly, looking past her Chemistry book. Makoto placed the box on the table. Usagi rushed her hand towards the brownies, only to be stopped by Rei.
Usagi-chan. The raven-haired girl said. We get to grab first. You got four last time, leaving us only one to split between us.
Rei-chan. Usagi complained. She sighed and sat back, hunger in her eyes. They all grabbed one, leaving Usagi the last brownie. But Im really hungry guys!
Deal with it. Rei told her. Usagi grumbled one more time before opening her Algebra book.

Its nice here. Kaiou Michiru said softly, leaning into Tenou Harukas arm. Haruka nodded as they walked through the large park. I wish we didnt have to leave yet.
We have held it off for too long. Harukas tenor voice told her. Really there isnt anything keeping us here. Except, well, the Princess.
Very true. Michiru nodded. We can leave tonight. But lets stay here a while.
They sat down on a wooden bench and looked up into the sun. It was near setting. Haruka yawned and leaned back, her arm draping over Michirus shoulder. Michirus head slowly settled on Harukas chest. They were in total peace. Until a loud scream broke the silence. Michiru jumped up with lightning speed. They both looked around, trying to identify the source. Off to the right the figure of a girl came running past the trees. Behind her was a large creature.
Oh my God! Haruka yelled, grabbing Michiru. She pulled the aqua haired girl toward the nearby bushes as the girl and elephant stormed past. Was that what I thought it was?
If you thought elephant, you were right. Michiru said. She reched into her pocket and pulled out a large pen. Ready?
Neptune Planet Power!
Uranus Planet Power!
Make-up! Aqua and yellow filled the air as the two girls clothes changed. As soon as the colors faded they immediately began to run toward the elephant, the bow on their fuku waving behind them. They got past a couple of tree when the finally saw the elephant and girl again. The girl laid on the ground, unconscious, with the elephant hovering over her.
What do you think? Sailor Neptune asked. From the zoo?
No. Sailor Uranus told her. There is something coming from it. A power. Maybe from the Negaverse?
Well just see. Sailor Neptune said. She lifted her hands, powering up an attack. Deep Submerge!
The elephant let out a defening sound as the ball of water hit him in the side. The elephant roared and turned toward them. It took a step forward. Sailor Uranus lifted her hand as yellow energy began to gather there.
World Shaking! Uranus called out as the ball of yellow energy slammed into the elephant. It roared again. The elephant started to charge. Sailor Neptune barely saw it coming as the elephant hit her in the side. Neptune cried out as she landed against a tree. Sailor Uranus ran to her. She knelt next to her and looked over at the elephant. To Uranus surprise the elephant was gone.
Where did it go? She asked. Standing, she circled around. Its like it disappeared.
We need to go warn Usagi-chan. Neptune said. She slowly stood up. Her and Uranus made there way back to the bench where they left their stuff.
*****
Haruka-chan! Usagi squealed as the tall girl walked up the front steps to Reis Temple. She bounced out of Reis room until she reached Haruka. Michiru smiled as she watched the blonde. I thought you guys were leaving.
We were. Haruka said seriously. Usagi gave her a look. Usagi-chan, lets go inside. We need to talk sailor business.
Okay. Usagi said softly. They entered the room. The girls stood and was about to get excited, until they saw the looks on their newly arrived friends. Guys, they need to talk to us about something.
What is it? Makoto asked.
We were in the park when something came running by. Haruka explained. It was an elephant chasing this girl. We transformed and attacked it, but it ran off.
Are you saying, you think there is a new enemy? Rei asked carefully.
We are pretty sure. Michiru said. The thing barely was effected by our attacks.
So, what are we suppose to do? Usagi asked.
Im not sure. Haruka told her. I guess the only thing we can do is wait for it to show up again.
I dont like waiting. Makoto muttered. She leaned back, resting on her hands. Haruka walked over and sat down by her, followed by Michiru.
So, what are you guys up to? Haruka asked.
Studying as usual. Usagi complained. So, does this mean that your not going to be leaving for a while? Your staying here?
Yes. Michiru said. Haruka looked over at her. Michiru gave her a look of firmness, keeping Haruka from protesting. Haruka looked back at Usagi and nodded.
About an hour later Usagi was walking down the sidewalk, finally free from Reis screaming. She trailed her finger along the wall to a building, her mind drifting from this to that. Haruka and Michiru had offered her a ride, but she refused. She, after all, had a date with destiny. Usagi smiled as the face of a black-haired, blue eyed man entered her mind.
Watch out! A womans voice yelled. Usagi felt herself being pulled back by strong hands. She blinked. Her drifting off almost caused her to walk in front of a car. Usagi yelped as the hands pulled her to her feet. She looked up at a very tall lady. The woman was at least six foot one. Her pinky green eyes stared down at her with concern as her white hair shifted forward. Usagi squinted in the sun at the yellow tints radiating off her hair and the light reflected off her gold framed glasses. The woman was pale, more pale than Usagi had ever seen a person before. Usagi straightened up and looked up at the woman again.
Im sorry. She said softly.
Its alright. The woman said. You need to watched where your going.
Right. Usagi said. She paused a moment, not knowing what to say. Um, my name is Tsukino Usagi.
Im Za Kagakuno Rikou. The woman said.
Its nice to meet you, Kagakuno-san. Usagi smiled and held out her hand. Rikou smiled and shook hands with her.
Now, Rikou said. You need to be getting home or something. If your going to walk around like that, youll need an escort Tsukino-san.
Thats not necessary, Kagakuno-san. Usagi said, walking forward. Ill be more careful. Thanks anyway.
Are you sure? Rikou asked. She had a feeling that this girl would end up in her dream world again. Rikou looked at Usagi with a firm sight. Usagi smiled slightly and looked at the ground. I dont mean to be rude or anything. Its just that you seem really happy and I wouldnt want something to happen to you before you reached your destination.
Well, I suppose it would be a good idea. Im just going to the theater a few blocks over. Usagi explained.
Well, Im going to the book store next door to the theater. Rikou said sweetly. So, we can just walk together.
Alright! Usagi said. They headed down the strip. You know, Kagakuno-san, your almost as tall as my boyfriend.
Really? Rikou said. Whats his name?
Chiba Mamoru. Usagi told her. We have a date.
I bet he is a wonderful person. Rikou commented. So, Tsukino-san, tell me, do you like the zoo?
Well, I havent been there in a while. Usagi said. Kagakuno-san, you dont have to call me Tsukino-san. You can call me Usagi-chan.
Very well. Rikou said. And you may call me Rikou-chan. Usagi-chan, why dont you and your boyfriend come to the Tokyo Zoo sometime. I work there and I can give you the grand tour!
Wow, thatll be fun! Usagi said excitedly. Rikou smiled at her. Usagi looked up at Rikou a moment. Do you mind if I ask you something?
Sure. Rikou agreed.
Why are you so pale? Usagi blushed at the looked Rikou gave her. I dont mean to be rude, its just Ive been wondering and the only why you can learn something is by asking. Which is what Ami-chan tells me any-
Usagi-chan! Rikou interrupted her. I have albinism. Its a genetic condition. It means I have no skin pigment. At least you asked me straight forward instead of staring at me like Im some weirdo.
Oh, I would never do that. Usagi insisted.
How old are you, Usagi-chan? Rikou asked as they neared the theater.
Fifteen.
As someone a year older than you let me give you some advice. Rikou said, starign to walk away. Life is not what other people make of it. Only you can determine whats best in your life.
Usagi watched the tall woman walk into the book store. Mamoru stepped next to Usagi and looked at the confused look on her face. Usagi looked over at Mamoru.
What does that mean? Usagi asked.
Dont worry about it. Mamoru laughed. He wrapped his arm around her and they walked towards the ticket booth.
*****
Rikou stood in front of one book shelf, studying the names. Next to her a short, blue haired girl did the same. The girls blue eyed were narrowed, and a look of annoyance was written on her face.
Darn. She muttered.
Trying to find something? Rikou asked. The girls straightened and looked at Rikou.
Um, yeah. She said. I was trying to find a book on the Rain Forrests ecosystem. My teacher suggested one, but I cant seem to find it.
Rain Forrest, huh? Rikou said. She scanned the bookshelf with the girl. She pulled out a large volume entitled The Rain Forrest: An Overview of This Exotic World. This one is good. It runs into too much detail at times, but it works.
Hmm, thanks. The girls took the book and started to read the back of it. She looked up at Rikou after a moment. Oh, I forgot to introduce myself! Im Mizuno Ami.
Za Kagakuno Rikou. Rikou said. Ami smiled and opened her mouth to speak, but a roar interrupted her. Rikou and Ami darted to the window to see an elephant storming down the road, chasing the same girl it was earlier. Ami did a double take then turned to Rikou.
I have to be going. Ami said. She ran past the shelf until she reached the back door. Looking around she pulled out a blue stick. Mercury Star Power, Make-up!
Now in scout form, Sailor Mercury opened the door. Using her scout speed she ran to the street, coming face to face with the elephant. It looked at her a moment and let out a deafening roar. Sailor Mercury jumped back, barely missing the elephants swinging trunk.
Shine Aqua Illusion!
The sprout of icy water slapped the elephant in the face. It gave an angered grunt as its trunk was frozen stiff. Sailor Mercury lifted her gloved hand and began to speak.
Guys! Are you there? Mercury asked, as she slowly backed away from the elephant.
Mercury? Usagis voice popped up. Are you outside? Mamoru-chan and I tried to get out of the theater, but they arent letting anyone pass.
Well, you keep trying. Ill try to get a hold of someone else. Mercury said. Rei-chan? Minako-chan? Makoto-chan? Anyone else there?
Mercury? Minakos voice asked. Makoto-chan and me are on our way!
All right. Mercury said. Ill keep it busy until then.
Mercury looked up as shards of ice flew through the air. The elephant waved its newly freed trunk happily. Mercury jumped as the heavy trunk flew at her. She landed a foot away from the woman the elephant had been chasing. The woman was pale, she looked like she was going to pass out. Mercury could only imagine how long this animal had been after her. Mercury stood and faced the beast.
Ladies and Gentlemen! A voice yelled. Mercury looked up to see Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter standing on top of the bookstores roof. We have arrived.
They jumped down, landing next to Mercury. They stood in fighting stance as the elephant slowly advanced.
Venus Love Chain Encircle!
The yellow chain of hearts whipped at the elephant. It gave an grunt of annoyance, but continued forward.
Jupiter Sparkling Wide Pressure!
Like the chain, the ball of white electricity hit the elephant in the side. He turned slightly to looked at his hip, but still moved forward.
Okay, this isnt good. Venus commented.
Shine Aqua Illusion! Mercury screamed. The elephant ducked as the freezing water sailed toward him. It froze one ear. The elephant shook its head, trying to break the ice. The three scouts looked around, hoping to see another scout. Mercury spotted two people on top of the theater roof. Look!
Hey, Dumbo! Sailor Moon yelled. The man next to her picked her up and they jumped down to the street. I dont let animals run loose in my town! Especially ones that hurt my friends! So, in the name of the Moon! Ill punish you!
Guys! Sailor Jupiter said. We cant make a dent. Its like none of our attacks can effect him.
I have a feeling not much can hurt this. We too hardly hurt it. Sailor Uranus said. Sailor Uranus and Neptune stepped up next to Sailor Moon.
Let me try! Another voice yelled. Two people came running down the road, Sailor Mars and Sailor Chibi-Moon. Mars raised one hand in attack. Mars Celestial Fire Surround!
The elephant roared and hoped away as the fire hit his back end. It turned toward the two new comers. Sailor Mars frowned. Uh, Sailor Moon? Want to give it a shot?
Moon Spiral Heart Attack. Sailor Moon lifted her Moon Rod, sending heart shaped energy toward the elephant. They all watched as the elephant stood there as the pink energy surrounded it. Then it sneezed.
What? Sailor Moon asked. Thats it! I made it sneeze!
Its going to take more than your pathetic rod to hurt this animal. A stern voice said. They all looked over to the side of the bookstore. A very tall girl stepped around the brick wall. To everyones shock, she was wearing fuku. Her bows, glove bands, choker, and boots were lavender. The skirt, brooch, and collar were yellow. The small tiara stone looked to be lavender from the distance. Strangely, she wore a pair of glasses, with gold frames. Her boots were to her knees, with the top part folded down. Her skin was very pale, and her eyes were a light green with hints of pink. Her white hair was to her mid back and the upper half was held by a thin lavender bow. For certain angles it looked like there were yellow hints in the strands. The woman smiled at them. It wasnt a sweet smile, but a controlled, firm smile.
Hey! Sailor Moon yelled at her. This rod isnt pathetic.
Isnt it? The woman asked.
Who are you? Sailor Uranus asked.
Sailor Tora. She told them. Im here to help you. Well, sort of. Let me just get rid of our little elephant problem first. She raised her right hand and a tall, wooden staff appeared. Tiger Wisdom-Piercing Staff!
She grabbed the staff and spun once. Hurling it, the staff soared toward the elephant. It made contact with the elephants chest, going all the way through. Sailor Mars quickly covered Chibi-Moons eyes, but there was no need. No blood showed up. A yellow light began to fill the elephants body until it exploded. A wisp of gray fog was left. It slowly circled around Sailor Tora, then turned to Sailor Jupiter.
Ah! What is it doing? Jupiter asked as the fog circled her body.
Searching for its owner. Sailor Tora said. The fog then turned to the woman laying on the ground, the one it had been chasing. It circled her then disappeared through her nostrils. The color of the womans face came back.
What was that about? Sailor Uranus asked. Who are you, really?
Like I said, Im here to help. Sailor Tora told the angered heaven scout. But until you find your soul, like this woman just did, you wont be ready to know.
The woman stood a moment, staff in hand. Then, with a spark of purple and yellow, she was gone.
I dont like her. Sailor Uranus said. Sailor Neptune smiled at her.
I have a feeling this enemy is different than the others. Tuxedo Mask commented.
I wonder what she was talking about? Sailor Moon asked. Finding our soul? What does that mean?
I guess well find out sooner or later. Sailor Mars said.
