| wideawake is scott leger, nate navarro, curtis ryker, eddie willis, steve rude. Some of their original songs that have received airplay are; Bigger than ourselves, She likes purple, so simple, misfit, hero, gratefully yours, all my days, 29:11, and So Great. They are originally from Seattle, where they went to marysville first, and were in the youth band under Benny Perez. After winning a talent contest they decided to make it official, (as I understand it). The genre is played as pop rock, rock, ccm, contemporary christian, or modern christian rock. Their songs have been featured on WB Dawson's Creek, and are to be featured on NBC movie of the week, as well as MTV road rules. The songs have also had major exposure on CSN international, KLBJ, and others. They are currently based in Austin Texas. The band had been touring widely for over 3 years, and their live shows are excellent. The person who created this site has seen a substantial number of the legendary 60's bands live, and would rate wideawake among the top five as an effecting live experience. This site plans to soon be adding a lyrics section with comments and/or commentary, and photos. We hope you like it! |
