Madeleine Zirbes at the Macintosh station USGS web site, hands on table.
Hmmm....gee, it was my opportunity to actually see how a Mac compared to a IBM generic, but I

Now we go to the Federal Center, perhaps acouple miles from the NEIC, Golden building.  There were perhaps a dozen tents set up for outdoor exhibits.  Occasional rain sprinkles did interfere somewhat.  In the background is a gold panning exhibit.  To the right, is a large tent with quite afew tables and chairs for dining.

A large ammonite set up in the dining tent.  Perahps 15 inches across.  More fossils were in the large Federal Center building.

Were the USGS employees co-operative or what?  The geologist (Ask a scientist booth), is showing a femur of possibly a mammoth in comparison to his own.  The femur was unusally light for a fossil.
