| The Freeing Lands |
I have grazed contentedly in pastures of yesteryears I have sunned with the lions and played with the rivers I have known love and passion in the freeing lands I have walked with restless tears and wrestled with the stealers of life throughout the nights not once, not twice, but twenty times over the sting of death I have grown, I have traversed the seas of vacant heartbeats I have continued to breathe and have begun to awaken to the aroma of warm affections How can this be, where ice, the protective shield formed? How can the scars of pain dissolve so easily? Yet I am drawn to the warmth of the melting Where will I return to, if my tomorrows break forth with the tender touches of the strong man's heart leading me again into the freeing lands I would dance in the darkness, I would sing to the stars I would hold sacred the moment and bring gifts to the changing winds For the time I have spent with you has lengthened my days the depth of my love growing for you will become my stay and again I will go into the freeing lands (c)2002 Me RedFire copyright 2002 All Rights Reserved |
