The Message Of Good Times.
Sit down kids, Uncle Phil is going to tell you the story behind Good Times.  It all started years ago, well actually more like in 2001. The 4 of us, Phil, Chris, Ryan, and Myles all were attending ITT Tech in Earth City, MO. We'd all become friends rather quickly, soon realizing we'd see each other for the next 2 years, we'd better get off on the good foot.  We'd go out whenever we had the chance, or just sit and chill at the house and enjoy some beers.  In Jan. '01 or so Chris had purchased a digital camera.  It soon followed us everywhere we went.  Around March of that year, we had met a group of girls, who'd kinda become our groupies so to speak for a while. Ryan ended up hooking up with one of them, while one of the other girls, who we called Jenny Jones (Jenny was her first name, I think Jones was her last, but either way)  she's responsible for coining the 'Good Times' phrase.  The actually idea for it though came from me(Phil) and Chris. One night while pounding  a few back, we were looking through old photos of Chris' buddies back home. We'd thought the best way to remember these two years were to take pictures of us being oursleves. Good Times was born. Now ironically none of us were from Missouri. I was from Southern California, Ryan was from a small town in Iowa, Chris was from Phoenix, and Myles was from Illinois.  None of us knew each other, but suprisingly we had common threads.  Jump forward a little bit, we were enjoying ourselves, meeting cute girls, and living our tech college dreams.  We'd started to accumlate quite a few pics of us and our friends, and I suggested that we make a site called 'Good Times' dedicated to us. I was put in charge of making the dream come true, because I had a webpage already and I always had ungodly amounts of free time on my hands. So a small collection was put on my webapge (http://www.geocities.com/mercyfulfate66) it soon grew too large and I moved it to here.  As you plunge deep into the college mind, allow me to give my version of the gang. First there's Chris, who a lot of the page is his vision. The ladies man, if you will, always willing to go after some girl, in the name of fun.  He represented intelligence and a sense of style in our world. Ryan on the other hand as most of us will argue was the true ladies man, which we don't know how he does it.  The working class man, always working too hard, but always willing to drink like there was no tommorow.  Myles, the space cadet at times, but always had good intentions. The business man and visionary of things to come, always willing to lay his life out for his skating company (http://www.imageskateboards.com) and for his pals. Myles is always up for a good time. That's the original three, but of course we can't leave out the only girl we frequently partied with, our only other female classmate, Shannon. This girl embodies the word party, never turning one down, and always the life of one. Of course there's Chewie, our drinking partner in crime Jason. Always drinking the juice of life, and not remembering too much of the night before. And then you have me, the black sheep of the gang. The 'Dirty Mexican', the 'metal-head', the big fella. That's pretty much how the guys would describe me. Always rude and crude on the surface, but bellow the surface lurks a shy, quiet, thinking man, known for his brains, and yearning for the perfect girl, oh and banging his brains out to that heavy metal thunder. Now the you know us, let me throw down the latest on us. We've all graduated from ITT with AA degrees in IT/Computer Networking. We are now scattered all of the states, I'm back in So. CA, Chris recently finished his stint in the Air National Guard and is making plans to settle down. Ryan and Shannon are still living in MO and pursuinng IT jobs. While Myles is part of the Army National Guard and recently graduated from ITT. Even though we're miles apart now, we're still in contact with each other and remain hopefully we'll see each other again soon. The moral here, is that the best way to capture moments in time is by film, and that's what we did, only we had the balls to publish us making fools of ourselves on the net. Good Times for All. WORD!
