Love Gems

They're much more than pretty jewels...

A Love Gem is created when two children of the Silver Millenium (This includes Tuxedo Mask and Dinozore, even though they are not Sailor Scouts) fall in love. The gem is shaped like a heart. One half has the symbol of one of the lovers' planet, and the other has the symbol of the other one's planet. The gem is normally split in half, one half in each one of the pair. The two halves are powerful, but if two halves of one are united, great things can be done. If someone who posseses half of a love gem cheats on his or her lover, the other half of the gem cracks. If this keeps up, the cracks spread, and both halves shatter. This releases all their power at once, and is fatal to the carriers of both halves. If the carrier of one half dies, their half shatters, and the other half begins to weaken, until it breaks. If someone's love starts to die, their half of the love gem starts to fade, and ceases giving them power. The power of a love gem can give someone a new transformation. This (in my opinion) is what gave Sailor Moon her Moon Cosmic Power transformation. There are three Love Gems among the Sailor Scouts. Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask have one, that has a yellow crescent moon and a black Earth symbol. The gem created by the love of Sailor Jupiter and Tuxedo Raptor has a green Jupiter symbol and a gold Earth symbol, and was responsible for creating Nick's Tuxedo Raptor form in the first place, as well as restoring the Sickle-Claw so that Dinozore could become Super Dinozore. There is a third love gem, considered un-natural to some. (namely Slither.) This gem belongs to Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. One half has a gold Uranus symbol and the other has a turquoise Neptune symbol.
