Forbidden Fruit

I once had the garden of Eden,
Beautiful, but lonely,
Curiousity and hunger for something more
led me to the forbidden fruit.

For days I danced
around that fruit,
Wondering about the taste,
Would it be sweet and soft?
Like the way it looked?
Or would it be sour and rough?
Like all the fruits before?

Temptation overtook me,
I grabbed a piece from the tree,
Sank my teeth into the
Sweetest,
Softest,
Most delicious,
Fruit that could be found.

It took horrors away,
But replaced them with worries,
and complications,
and the want,
the need,
For more.
