Non profit poster, CCAL Art Studio tour
photo

In 1993, I was chairman of the Cental California Art League's Open Studio tour, and needing to cut costs on our usually well printed, but not exactly unique, brochures, and posters, which cut into profits from sales, and thus fundraising goals,  I went retro, spawning the hand lettered and hand drawn business card series, profitable to me as an after project set of sales generated by this idea.

This is the hand drawn version of our poster that year, encouraged the other artists to do the same, and then did some typesetting on the official poster, make some of our members happy.  Though we were short visitors, down in gross sales, our adherence to using kinko's and the canon copier technology, hand pasted paper samples from one of the artists in the brochures, we were unique, also under budget, and made a significant 10  times more profitable on what we took in, as expenses were covered that well in use of simple idea. Mine.

Same year, I had won for "Wheelchair Racer" in the CCAL spring show for water media.
