Mercenary Graphics, ie, Jim Christiansen did the typesetting for Ernestina Mendoza's book Enchanted Enchantments for JB Presents initial book publication. I did the book, 48 pages in Word, John's printer needed it in Adobe format, or the 48 pages went to 31 pages. While I did finally solve the conversion file problem, John went ahead, as new publisher, with opening page on inside cover, leading to dispute by Mercenary Graphics, I couldn't use it as the portfolio piece as the layout screwed up from what I had set in.
Tina was happy I think. John seems to have sold out the press run, 100 originals, we haven't discussed the next press run, since I want it fixed, got in a snit over hope Tina got her cut as the artist, and of course, got the Scanner I use from John. Her art is very interesting, and I have the orignal lay out file, if you are interested in seeing her artwork beyond the paper she holds in the blog photograph, by John Black.
We may repair this rift in time, he did invite my to Modesto Blues Festival 3, though I'm not working on any of the promotion, posters or new graphics this year. Still, the Blues Frog is still the festival logo, and as most mental health clients, John and I will make up our differences in the interests of mutual support. Tina is a MH client, as are the publishers. Some of proceeds went to mental health interests of charitable nature. Tina is the person in the photograph. I'd publish the cover, but its her artwork not mine.
