Key metrics consists of the following (depends on location):
- General Data (consists of Population, Number of internet users, Number of computer users, Top selling computer brands
in the world, Top 10 ISP providers, Top 10 properties.)
- Mobile (consists of Number of mobile users, Top 6 mobile service providers, Top selling mobile phones worldwide).

The tool used in doing marketing analysis is Yahoo! Finance.

Company Profiles - Yahoo! receives updates from Market Guide on a daily basis, usually in the late evening (1 am Eastern or so). Financial ratios and statistics are recalculated at this time based upon the day's market closing information. Various data items are updated in one or more of the following frequencies: daily, when announced, quarterly, or annually:
- Items updated daily :
Prices, yearly high and low, common shares outstanding, dividend rate changes.
- Items updated when announced :
Preliminary (flash) earnings announcements, officer changes,
and corporate action items (stock splits, exchange changes, etc.).
- Items updated quarterly :
Quarterly detailed financial statements, shares held in "public" hands (the float), company address and phone numbers.
- Items updated annually :
Annual detailed financial statements, the number of employees, and officer names.
YAHOO! FINANCE PORTFOLIO
The Standard Portfolio feature allows you to track a customized list of stocks, mutual funds, and indexes.
If you choose to enter additional information, you can use additional features, such as portfolio performance
tracking, notes, and price alerts.
Steps to create a portfolio
- To create a new portfolio, simply log in (or sign up for a Yahoo! ID if you don't already have one).
- Click on the "Create" link in the Portfolios section (where it says "Welcome...") at the top of most Yahoo! Finance pages.
- You will be presented with the four different portfolio options. Simply click on the link for the type of portfolio that
best suits your needs and follow the steps to create your portfolio.
