As of the 14th of April 2002 we are five:
Mario, Merav, Omri, Stav and Einat.
Mario was born in Argentina and made aliyah in 1986. Merav was born in Jerusalem, 6th generation on her father's side. Omri was born in 1996 in Jerusalem and his sister Stav was born here as well in 1999.
Einat Rivka was born at Hadassa hospital on April 14th 2002 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, in a very fast birth.(Thank God...) She weighed 3.5 kg (about7.5 pounds).
Mario's Parents and siblings moved from Argentina to Mexico in 1988. Apart from Mario-the oldest, Dina and Natan Schejtman have three more children: Nestor (but everyone calls him Meme) Gali and Marcelo. By the way the name is pronounced Shekhtman-the J is the Spanish letter for the kh sound.
Both of Merav's parents Ruth and Arieh were raised in Israel, though Ruth was born in Germany. Arieh was born in Jerusalem under the name Arieh Nagler. He and Ruth changed their name to the Hebrew name Gilai when they were married. Merav has one brother, Dan.
In September 2000 just after Rosh haShana we moved to our new apartment which is much larger. The kids have a big room in which to play, Mario has a study in which to write his PhD, and we all have a large airy kitchen with wonderful windows over looking a small forest.
On July 30th 2001 we flew halfway around the world, to visit the family in Mexico. We stayed 3 weeks and had a great time.
In 2002 we are a large family. Einat was born in April. She was named Einat Rivka after two of Merav great grandmothers: Rivka Sibershatz and Elke Rivka Zukerman.
in July 2033 Merav's brother, Dan, married Edith Levintz.
in October we were told that they are pregnant!
In this school year of 2003/2004 Omri is in second grade and Stav in in pre kindergraden. Einat is in daycare with 5 other children her age. The care giver is called Avi. She is starting to talk with half words and gestures, we can understand her 95% of the time.
This past August, Marcelo, Mario's youngest brother came to live in Jerusalem. He is doing his masters at the Hebrew University. Marcelo did not come alone. With him came Adi Fridman, his girl friend.
