Tonight
Someone should die tonight,
At this ball in the moonlight.
Lovers walking to and fro,
Musicians playing the oboe.
Everyone happy and gay,
No one sensing the upcoming doom today.
Dancers twirling merrily by the stone wall hedge,
Not noticing the lonely little girl standing on the ledge.
Like a lonely doe grazing in a field,
Quiet as can be with lips sealed.

Someone should die tonight,
At this ball in the moonlight.
The little girl has a special gift,
No one will ever know, so she's a little miffed.
Someone should die,
And she realizes its her time.

Someone should die tonight,
At this ball in the moonlight.
The lonely little girl steals one last glance at the crowd,
And says out loud,
"My name is Susie Light."
Someone should die tonight.
She looks up at the smiling moon,
And jumps to her doom.
She dances the last dance of life.
