What are the Three Parts of Classical Speech Structure and How are They Organized and Developed?
The best way to throw together a speech is in the Introduction, Body, Conclusion format.
I once had a speech professor, at Brigham Young University Idaho make up a great Speech Outline, so I'm going to use this paper to help me explain.
Introduction has 5 parts : Attention Getter, Reaveal your topic, Establish credibility, Relevancy Statement, and a preview of main points. One sentence a piece will do. After these 5 you will begin the Main Body of your speech.
Main body generally consists of 3-4 main points with 2-3 subpoints per main point. Another part to each main point is a good transition. Then at the end is a Conclusion, which has a summery of the mains points and a memorable clincher that ties to the Intro.
