What is an Effective Conclusion?
What is a conclusion?
Well a conclusion is at the end of a speech, it is basically a re-cap of everything you have just said. How often do you remember everything that a speaker has told you? Well I know that I can't remember everything, so I like to have a good rememberance at the end.
What is the diffference in these two endings:
And that's my speech, thanks.
And that, ladies and gentlement, is why we need to increase the number of people car pooling, eliminate the use of toxic aerosol sprays, and minimize nuclear waste.
Which of these to endings re-emphasizes that which the speaker has just told the audience? The one on the right? Is it just because it has more words? Well, the one on the left just closes, the example on the right cleverly and in one sentence restates all that was spoke on. I gaurentee that the audience is going to remember exactly what the young speaker wanted them to understand.
