| 1. What time is it there? Take whatever time it is where you are and add seven or eight hours. That's what time it is here. 2. What exactly is this tonebank crap all about? It's the name i've given to my recording studio, and all the derivative projects thereof. per say. more recently it's taken on website creating, and zine collaboration. the 'menthol tonebank' is the name of the albums of electronic music i put out. I sometimes invite people to record and with their pending permission the first ToneBank Sampler will be a collection of their songs. 3. Can i get one of those Tonebank Samplers for free? Absolutely. Click here. 3. So you have a studio. What else do you do? I'm looking to introduce Germany to the wonderful array of zines and indie music floating around my native land. Sure they have zines and shows with alright bands, but not damn near enough of 'em.Through helpful collaborations, all in the spirit of DIY likemindedness, hopefully i'll make an indie dent in this semiclueless town, and get a little stateside exposure in the process. . . semicluless. it's a word. 4. I guess you think you're pretty cool, don't you? I do alright. 5. What can i do to get involved? First you can send me a quicknote and give me your name and address so i can send you a free cd. Then you can check out your local music store or privately owned bookstore. Now, don't go to the mall or cicuit city or wal*mart. You have to find an independently owned store. Ask if they have zines. While you're at it, ask what's good to listen to. They'll be nice, i promise. 6. You know that TOOL song thats in German? What does "und keine eier" mean? It means "and no eggs". Eier is also german slang for testicles. Feel free to make all your own connections henceforth. 7. Do they have McDonalds and Burger King and KFC in Germany? Yes, and frankly i'm pissed off about it. Thanks for bringing it up. 8. What are you hoping to gain out of all of this? I'm not going to say i'm all guerilla about hating corporate music and/or magazines. I just think they're all crap and I like doing my own thing. It's empowering not to buy the same shit everyone else buys. Be independent. Do it yourself. Power to the people. Let freedom ring. Don't believe the hype. Keep on rockin' in the free world.
