Three Little Words

Why don't you say you love me
When it's clear in your eyes?
A girl has just got to hear the words
That'll keep her from saying good-bye.

You buy me roses, you cook me meals;
All your actions say it's real.
Even at night, the slightest touch
Turns me on, but it's just not enough.

Why can't you see
What it means to me
I need to hear it,
Not just feel it.
Let me know,
Don't just show,
Say it--it's just three little words.

You take me out for walks,
Or sometimes we just talk.
Your hand in mine,
We forget about the time.
As the sun rises in the sky,
A tear appears in your eye,
And you whisper,
"I love you."
