| Ballet White dancers float across; the stage, a sea of slate. Fuzzy light illumines each leap and pirouette. A hidden orchestra of sighs whistles over all, Cold sweetness gathers on the lips, like a candle enthralls. An eternal performance of life and death rolls, Doomed to fade ere long before e'er joined in souls. A timeless translation of meeting, tragic loss, Ever different, yet the same, flame not meant to last. Romeo and Juliet of nature always, Hours upon hours, nights turn into days Until the death of many becomes new life. Birth then blooms, ignorant of sacrifice, Until, once again, the stage is set, lights are lit, And all is as once was, a cycle of Fate. |
