(Incredibly Frequently Asked Questions)
Who has long hair?
Anyone who wants it and takes the time to grow it.

What is long hair?
In my personal opinion it is at least a few inches below the shoulder line - but others feel that hair shorter than this is 'long' hair.  I suppose long hair is anything you feel is longer than the norm in your society is long hair - but this doesn't really work.  Many religions call for long hair but they don't say it's short because it's the norm.  A college buddy of mine had hair 3 inches long and proclaimed it to be very long hair - much to the mirth of the surrounding 'longhairs' who could sit on their own hair.

What is a 'longhair'?
Someone with long hair.

Can you be successful and still have long hair?

Yes.  Some examples here.
(Coming soon.)

Will people judge me for having long hair?

Yes - but you have to realise that people will take it upon themselves to judge you no matter what your hair is like.  Even for hair alone you will be judge on how short it is, what cut you have, what colour your hair is.  The real question is - how much does their opinion matter?  In truth, the length itself is not a problem.

Will people think I'm gay?

Are you straight or gay?  Does it matter?  If someone asks you this they more likely uncomfortable with their own sexuallity than you are.  Some people equate long hair with being in touch with your feminine side and if you
are in touch with your feminine side you 'must' be gay.  Wrong again.
99.9% of men I have met with long hair are most definetely attracted to women, not men.  That is my own experience.  There are gay men with long hair and gay men with short hair - it makes no difference.  However this webpage was written from the viewpoint of long hair on a masculine man.

Will my hair make me look 'girly'?
Of course not.  You may find at some point someone will tell you you look girly.  This has nothing to do with your appearance and is a pure insult.  Because it stikes at your appearance and your sexuality all in one it can be a potent insult - which fails completely if you are comfortable with who you are.  Most insults fade away in the face of selfassuredness.

As these are questions that I have been asked personally by male friends I will leave other FAQs to these links.
