Who are We?
Who are we? We are two Dordt students: Josh Van Engen and Merrick Van Otterloo. For years we have both been struggling with issues of pornography, lustful thoughts, and masturbation. For Christian men who want nothing but to image Christ, this has been a tough process. Only recently have we found freedom. Out of a friendship, the two of us finally admitted our problem to each other and became accountability partners. It was freeing to know we weren't alone (which Satan wants you to think!). Having a friend to help, we set out to see what we could do about our problem. We checked out different Christian websites offering healing, we sought help from a few books and mentors, and we prayed to God for help and strength.

It's still a struggle yet today to remain sexually pure in all we do. However, we know what God asks of us and through him we know we will overcome.

Through our own struggles, we realized that we are probably not the only ones. There has to be more Godly men out there who feel trapped in this sin. We both felt the Holy Spirit's leading to start up a small group where guys can learn what we have learned.

We know it's hard for us as guys to come out to other guys and admit this problem. We also know there are other guys out there who do not feel it is wrong. It's then hard for Godly men to admit there problem without fear of laughter. We wanted to create a place where it can be discussed openly without judgement. We want to help others recieve the freedom in Christ we have recieved.

And now this year we have others (2006). After a year with these guys, we've all grown and have learned about ourselves and our sin. Please feel free to contact any one of us from the list below. We all want other men to be free from this sin and to be able to fight it like we are working on.
