Distinguishing marks: None, save a small diamond stud she wears in her nose, and a gold crucifix around her neck.

Personality: A bit the shy and retiring type, yet with an air of ladylike stylishness. Do not let this fool you, for she has an inner spunk and sparkle that comes out when she is with her friends and people her age. Has the talent for finding the weak points in an argument in class, and sometimes puts a strange spin on a question. Lucia may play the intellectual in her classes, but once she lightens up with her three best friends, she can be witty and funny. If pushed she can be rather passive aggressive and moody. Tends to stew in anger and frustration rather then have an explosive temper.

Abilities: Honor student and freshman at NYU, with stunning academic record. Intelligent, with an edge of worldliness about her. Had to work hard to get where she is. Able to defend herself from basic attacks with a self-defense course she took in high school. Macbeth (Lennox MacDuff) is currently training her in Tai-Chi and Aikido, a passive yet extremely effective defensive martial art. In addition, she is also learning the use of firearms from her Professor, including his celebrated lightening thrower and conventional automatic handguns.

Hobbies: Lucia enjoys classical music and most modern Latin american artists like Selena and Jenifer Lopez. Also, she enjoys some rock groups like Aerosmith and Matchbox 20. She is a member of the Debate Society and the Philosophy club at NYU.

Weaknesses: Prone to rush into situations that are more then she can handle physically if her friends are in danger. Her witty speeches sometimes get her into awkward social situations. Some of her neighborhood friends from childhood resent her for being too Anglicized in the fact she doesn't retain an accent or spend much time among other Cuban Americans. She walks a fine line every day between living in mainstream Anglo-American culture, and her own Cuban heritage, and causes her to make poor judgment calls on who she makes friend, and who she keeps away from. Lives under fear of her ex boyfriend Cesar Ramierez, who was at once time her fiancée. His family is wealthy and influential, with ties to Dracon's gang. She tries her best to ignore this fear and forget her tempestuous relationship, which is a dangerous solution. Unfortunately the trauma form this abusive relationships severely affects her self esteem.

History: Lucia's mother and two sisters escaped from Cuba after the Castro Regime came to power. Her father was a police officer who was shot in a drug raid in West New York. Her mother unfortunately was injured by a drive by shooting when Lucia was only ten. She was adopted by her aunt Maya Florez, and moved to a section of Spanish Harlem in Manhattan. To help keep Lucia on the proper road she was sent to Catholic school from then on. This isolated her from her culture, yet provided the impetus needed for her to remain with her studies. She still traveled to her old neighborhood on weekends to spend time with her childhood friends, including her best friend Carlos, who is much like a brother to her.

Her junior year of high school, she attended a social mixer where young men from St. Sebastien's Young Men's prep met many students from her all Girl's school Our Lady of Perpetual Light. She met Cesar Ramierez, a handsome young man, college bound with a rich family. Her friends encouraged her to continue dating him. The two seemed an ideal match, but Maya suspected the crime connections the family had. Despite this Lucia would sneak off with her friends to meet him and other boys on weekends under the auspices of going to Little Cuba. Senior year she attended the Prom, supposedly with Carlos, but her friend covered for the fact it was really Cesar who was her escort. That night they booked a room in the Ritz hotel with several other young couples, and Lucia sealed a relationship and accepted a proposal from Cesar.

Their relationship continued the rest of senior year. Till an inextricable set of bruises started appearing, and Maya was extremely suspicious. She finally discovered the relationship, and Lucia broke off her relationship with Cesar. The following year she enrolled in school at NYU, accepting a scholarship work-study in history. Cesar continued to see her, till she broke off all ties with him. A month later, a police bust of a drug ring caused the arrest of Jose Ramierez, Cesar's father. Family sent Cesar and other relatives into hiding overseas. Maya and Lucia had finally seen the last of her boyfriend. Or so they thought.

At college she was withdrawn and shy. Her roommate Molly O'Keefe tried her best to involve Lucia in social situations. Carlos too tried to draw his friend into the social world.

Her Geology instructor, for Earth Science 101 was Rayna Vitreum. In that class she met Keith Polasky, and Sharon Lewis. Through Molly and Carlos, the three became friends and confidants. Sharon and Molly took Lucia under their wing, helping to build her self-confidence and get her dating again.

They immediately became a fivesome that met for lunch. However, Molly's different schedules soon reduced it to four. The quiet freshman could be at home with Carlos, Sharon, and Keith. Soon she relaxed and started to enjoy the more social side of college, forgetting her enmeshment with Carlos. Lucia and Sharon joined the Debate Team, and were often seen at the health center together. However both shared an intense crush on their history teacher Lennox MacDuff, for World History 101.

The following semester, all four tried to sign up for at least one class together. They decided to take Rayna's Planetary Geology survey course for elective requirements. Carlos and Lucia ended up in Shakespearean English with Molly. Unfortunately Lucia being a freshman was closed out of MacDuff's section of European History from the Middle Ages to the present, ending up having to take Malkowitz's section instead. The two took an instant disliking to each other. Lucia's odd sideways thinking jarred against Malkowitz's emphasis on rote memorization and two-dimensional analysis of history.

Carlos suggested Lucia take private tutoring with MacDuff, knowing that his teaching style was more in line with how Lucia best learned. Also Sharon thought it would be amusing since she guessed Lucia had a secret crush on the professor, despite the fact he appeared to be in his fifties.

Lucia and her friends were inextricably drawn into strange events concerning the Quarrymen and the Gargoyles when a recruitment group showed up on campus. Keith and Sharon vocally opposed the group, while Lucia and Carlos tried to take a more middle of the road approach, simply avoiding their friends who had signed up. When Rayna Vitreum was dismissed in mid semester after taking a part time job with Xanatos Enterprises, Keith and Sharon organized a protest rally. Lucia bumped into MacDuff while distributing fliers, and was pleasantly surprised to find out he too opposed the Quarrymen. Offering his assistance, MacDuff attempted to quiet an explosive scene between Sharon, Keith, and Jon Castaway. Unfortunately Carlos was badly hurt in the resulting riot. MacDuff accompanied Lucia and Carlos to the hospital in lieu of her aged aunt and Carlos' parents who were out of the country at the time. Touched by his concern for them, Lucia realized here was a man who was truly gallant and kind.

Carlos recovered, and soon was back in class. The drama teacher assigned the class to perform the play Macbeth. In the midst of her private tutoring with Lennox MacDuff, Lucia soon felt her crush blossoming into love. He was unaware of this, as she struggled to build up the nerve to admit her feelings to him.

The arrival of a friend's brother, Josh Blade, precipitated another strange encounter with the Gargoyles. Sharon and Lucia met him in history class, which Lucia was sitting in on to hear MacDuff's lecture. The Blades had a connection with the Ramierez family at one time, and this made Lucia a bit suspicious. When Josh asked about Gargoyles, and MacDuff appeared shocked, this surprised Lucia and Sharon. She always suspected there was something more to the Professor than first met the eye.

At a dance, Josh and the Professor appeared to vanish. Lucia, still festering over Becky Blade sweeping Carlos away, went in search of them. She blundered into MacDuff, really Macbeth, on his way to help Josh and his strange new friends who had suddenly shown up after him: Two were beasts, an older man, and a half elf. Thinking Josh and Sharon were in trouble, she insisted Macbeth take her along to Castle Wyvern. The fact he was wearing very strange body armor and carrying a lightening thrower only deepened the mystery. Unfortunately her memories of just what happened next were muddled, evident when she and Sharon woke up the next morning in their dormitory lounge.

MacDuff had no memory of this night either, and suggested it was perhaps a delusion caused by whoever Josh's enemies were. The next week in a tutoring session, Lucia Dominguez admitted her feelings to her professor, much to his apparent dismay. She blurted out "You're the man I wish I was with! You're so gentle, and gallant… and kind to me… no man has ever made me feel the way you do!" What surprised her was that he had feelings for her in return! While she was of legal age, and he was no longer officially her teacher, this created a very awkward situation for both. Nevertheless a jest of "not knowing how to kiss" turned into a very sincere and heated embrace. Discretely he took her to his mansion to explore this very promising chemistry, which resulted in a passionate and sweet night of love for both. It was then that Macbeth realized she was well and truly in love with him, and his own feelings for her could not be denied.

Over the course of the next week she kept discovering odd anachronisms about his life. Especially when she was assigned the part of Lady Macbeth in her drama classes' production of the Scottish Play. She couldn't understand why MacDuff was so openly offended by the play, till she began to do her own research on its innacuracies. This both delighed and astonished the immortal king, that she perhaps could handle his secret which he had so carefully kept from her. During one review session at his mansion, she woke to hear him talking to his late wife Gruoch. All the pieces of evidence fell together, and Lucia in fear blundered into Titania's mirror in a back room. She peered at the images within, feelign a strange connection to the magical item. Within she saw a nightmarish future reality, and a stranger from the medieval past. Macbeth happened to walk in on the episode, and she confronted him on all the stockpiles of weapons in his mansion, and the journals that all were written in the same hand. Sadly Mac eth admitted his identity to a stunned Lucia. What amazed him was that she did not run in fear, but tried her best to accept this new development in their newfound romance.

Now the two share a passionate relationship. The shadow of Cesar's abuse casts a pall upon present events. Both must be extremely careful in choosing their rendezvous off campus. While on campus they are polite and discreet. Yet off campus the sparks fly, and just how far they will carry this on will be the subject of future fanfictions. Currently Lucia spends much time at his mansion, tutoring in history as well as learning Aikido and Tai Chi from Macbeth. There is little doubt that their relationship is a lasting and permanent one. In upcoming fanfictions Cesear will return, and Macbeth will face the pangs of jealousy and outrage for the wrongs done Lucia, as well as her reluctance to discuss her own secrets.

Relationships with Gargoyles chars (more to be added as stories are written)

Maria Chavez: Lucia's aunt secretly keeps tabs on her favorite niece through Maya. She sees the fine young woman Lucia is becoming, and thinks of her as a daughter in a sense. Yet she is afraid Lucia's curiosity and impetuousness will get her into trouble if she's distracted. Also she keeps a close watch out for Cesar Ramierez, Lucia's ex fiancée, worried that he will stop at nothing to get Lucia back for himself.

Macbeth (Lennox MacDuff): At first he did not know what to think when Lucia admitted her feelings in a burst of nervous energy. Was this a student crush, or an attempt to seduce him for a good grade? Neither was the case, and for the first time in a very long while, Macbeth was faced with someone who really did love him without knowing anything about his past. Logic and age screamed against this, but her sincerity touched him in a way few women had since Rayna Vitreum. He saw her attempts to discover his secrets, adding to his reluctance to continue beyond a teacher/student relationship. His feelings of protectiveness towards her are natural, and her initial fear of his true nature caused him to fear she too would reject him. Yet she proved him wrong, and wished to know more about what made him immortal. Now the two are exploring their relationship, meeting often in Central Park for a date or at his large mansion for dinner. Just what they will do is entirely up to them. One thing is certain, that Macbet is no longer obsessed with hunting Demona to end his life now that Lucia is a significant part of it!

Elisa Maza: Flustered that Lucia follows Sharon's little escapades, Maza frequently reminds Lucia of the dangers of her curiosity. She reminds Elisa a bit of her sister Beth, in her innocence and sense to make the world a better place. Also, Elisa suspects who Lucia is currently dating, and is worried her liaisons with Macbeth might put her into grievous danger.

Demona: When Demona was attempting to get Joshua Blade for her own nefarious purposes, Macbeth's interference was no big shock. A protective Lucia was hitting what was a shock in the face with a high-heeled shoe when she was about to rid herself of Macbeth's interference. Such open defiance by a puny human was inexcusable, and Demona used Lucia as a hostage accordingly. Macbeth's suddenly protectiveness of Lucia during that time alerted Demona to the possibility that this human girl was a weakness of her centuries old foe. Just what Demona will do with this information will cause great trouble for Lucia possibly.

Xanatos: No doubt Xanatos will be amused that Macbeth, immortal king and formidable warrior would be smitten by love. Currently David has no knowledge of their new relationship, but will find out in a future fanfiction.

I will add other relationships as the stories are written!

Relationships with other fanchars:

Sharon: Very tight with each other, the two girls often get into very amusing social situations which require their combined finesse to extricate themselves from. Sharon is the brassy, outgoing other half of the pair. Lucia is the cooler head of prudence and hesitation. They compliment each other well as friends.

Molly: Protective of her roommate, in the fact that she tries to steer Lucia into social situations that will make her step beyond the classroom. She acts as a sister to Lucia, serving as her confidant and security blanket. Sometimes she plays practical jokes on Lucia to get her to lighten up and let her hair down. These range from shortsheeting beds to fixing her up on blind dates after a hard week's of work.

Carlos: Sometimes his protectiveness of her is stifling. He considers her more of a little sister and friend. They tried dating, but it was just too much like family. So they now share a close friendship as buddies. Their common history and circle of friends make them very close indeed. If anything were to happen to Carlos, or likewise to Lucia, it would cause no end of sadness. Both would fight tooth and nail to save the other. Yet Lucia wishes Carlos would let her have wings to fly once in a while, and not always worry so much about her.

Keith: Another friend, but not as tight with her as Carlos is. He treats her the same as Sharon, with a combination of joking and good-natured flirting. It's all platonic as far as he's concerned with Lucia, and if he steps out of line, Lucia quietly reminds him that it's not cursing that gets the results. Like Sharon, he has a certain delight in putting Lucia into situations that will get her to lighten up.

Rayna: Sees Lucia as a student, and is not as tight with her as she is with Keith and Sharon. Nevertheless she considers Lucia a valued friend, and intelligent young woman. Often she serves as yet another shoulder to cry on if things get too stressful, in a mother hen sort of way. Since Rayna and Maria Chavez were once heavily involved, Rayna knows much about Lucia's past and childhood.

Lucia Dominguez is my own creation, of me Trynia Merin, and is a fancharacter that means no harm to the show. If you want to use her, please email me with any plot ideas, and we will talk! Don't use her without permission first okay? Gargoyles and associated characters don't belong to me, and are being used without Disney's knowledge or permission.
